Ages! New Features

Even more Charts

Following the new fan charts introduced in V2.2, this latest update gives all other chart types a boost as well:

Background images can now maintain a fixed aspect ratio—ideal for using photos as backgrounds.
The new "Fit to Page" feature ensures the entire sheet is utilized.
Frame sizes can now be constrained, resulting in a more uniform design.
The "Show unknown ancestors" option allows for balanced trees and complete fan charts, even when there are gaps in the genealogy.

Lists benefit from new features, too

Text can now wrap around photos.
The individual data sheet now displays the portrait photo in the top right corner.

And last but not least:

Online Layout Templates

Online layout templates are downloaded only when needed, offering family trees on a whole new scale. Initial new options are "Bordeaux", "Gradient," "PhotoCanvas Oak," "PhotoCanvas Leonardo," "PhotoCanvas Poplar," and "Winter."

As always there have been a number smaller improvements and bug fixes

Ancestral Loops

Ages! now features a clever helper that detects when individuals have been linked to form a loop. You can find this tool under "More" > "Ancestral Loops."

In addition to this new feature, there have been numerous smaller improvements and bug fixes, including various optimizations that speed up the program, particularly when handling large datasets.

Fan Charts and new layout "Quadra"
